BUENAVISTA, Bohol – On June 4, Primary Group of Builders, led by AMICI Shipyard and in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU), conducted a medical mission providing free medical services to people of all ages in Barangay Cruz and in nearby barangays. Aside from the medical mission, the RHU Buenavista has committed to provide free circumcision services, at their own expense, for uncircumcised children aged 8 years and above.
The project was held at the open gymnasium of Barangay Cruz, where activities such as medical assessment during the medical mission, pre-enlisting of children ages 8 years and above (with parents’ consent) from the LGU of Buenavista, and medicine distribution took place.
The project coordinators achieved their expected outcomes, delivering free medical check-ups to at least 50 individuals of all ages. All 40 pre-registered children successfully underwent circumcision.
AMICI Shipyard initiated this project as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community in Bohol.
